Terraitaly™Aerial photosare digital scanned images of the original negative films of aerial photo shot in four different aerial survey progams.
The first three programs covered the whole Italian territory, while the fourth one covers the built-up areas of the major cities of Italy.

The aerial photos obitained from the above-stated aerial survey programs, are gathered in four on-line archives, that can be browsed onITALYPRO.

1) Terraitaly volo 1988/'89, black and white, average scale: 1:75000, covered area: the whole Italian territory;

2) Terraitaly volo 1994, black and white, average scale: 1:75000, covered area: the whole Italian territory;

3) Terraitaly volo 1998/'99, color, average scale: 1:75000, covered area: the whole Italian territory;

4) Terraitaly volo CITY, color, average scale: 1:9000, covered area: Italy's most densely built-up areas.

Orthophotos

Terraitaly™ Orthophotos is an Image solution system that is made up of from the composition Ð or photo mosaic Ð of several Terraitaly™ aerial photos which are both georeferenced and orthorectified.

Terraitaly™ Orthophotos are derived from the two aerial surveys programs TerraItaly™ 98/99 and TerraItaly™ City and are gathered in two archives that can be browsed on ITALYPRO

1) Terraitaly Orthophotos 1998/'99, color, average scale: 1:10000, covered area: the whole Italian territory;

2) Terraitaly Orthophotos CITY, color, average scale: 1:9000, covered area: Italy's most densely built-up areas.

Terraitaly™ Orthophotos is a photographic database that has the same geometric and geographic accuracy as the analogue and digital cartographies of the same scale.

Each Orthophotos Terraitaly™ :
- has the same characteristics as a topographic map and hence allows to measure the objects it contains;
- is georeferenced since each pixel that makes up the image has a North and East coordinate, thus it is superimposable to the other digital cartographies;
- has higher informative contents compared with the traditional cartography;
- certifies the territorial condition upon the flight date;
